Gurudham Yatra

The Historical Gurdwaras situated in Pakistan are a fundamental piece of Sikhism and structure a significant piece of the historical backdrop of Sikhism. Truth be told the Sikh religion was established in the piece of the world which is currently called Pakistan. Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib is a gurdwara situated at Hassan Abdal, 48 kilometres (30 miles) from Rawalpindi in Pakistan. This is one of the most holy places of Sikhism because of the presence of a rock believed to have the hand print of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji imprinted on it. Sikhs visit this Gurdwara from all over the world. Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji along with Bhai Mardana Ji reached Hasan Abdal in 1521 AD during the summer season. While sitting under a cool shady tree, Guru Nanak and Bhai Mardana started reciting Kirtan and people gathered around. This annoyed the local muslim pir, Baba Wali Qandhari, who would meditated atop a nearby hill. Guru Nanak sent Bhai Mardana to Wali Qandhari 3 times so he could provide him and the villagers with water to quench their thirst. Wali Qandhari refused his request and was rude to him.

Darbar Sai Mian Mir Ji Lahore (Pakistan)

The Shrine of Mian Mir is a 17th-century shrine located in Lahore, Pakistan, that is dedicated to the Sufi mystic Mian Mir. The shrine is one of the most celebrated in Lahore, and has historically been revered by both Muslims and Sikhs. Baba Sain Mir Mohammed Sahib, popularly known as Mian Mir or Miyan Mir, was a famous Sufi Muslim saint who resided in Lahore.

Kartarpur Sahib ( Pakistan )

The Governor of the area, Duni Chand met Guru Nanak at Pakhoke and donated 100 acres of land to Guru Sahib. On the Guru’s acceptance of the land he decided to settle there and a small building was constructed. This gurudwara was bulit to commemorate the site where Guru Nanak Dev Ji settled and did farming.Guru Ji founded Gurudwara in 1504.

Panja Sahib ( Pakistan ) 

Gurudwara Panja Sahib is situated at Hasan Abdal ,48 km from Rawalpindi in Pakistan. This is one of the most holy places of sikhism because it marks the spot where the  founder of the faith, Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited and instilled an important lesson for his adherents. Still visible is the scared rock with the handprint of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The word “Panja” means in punjabi an”Outstretched palm”

Dera Sahib ( Pakistan )

Gurdwara Sri Dera Sahib Lahore is situated near the Badshahi Masjid. After many days of torture, Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji disappeared into the river Ravi here and re-joined with God. Muslims began their history of Sikh genocide when they tortured Sri Guru Arjan Sahib Ji, a pious and holy man who helped others and did much good. Guru Arjan was allowed to take a bath in the river Ravi, to cool his many burns, by his guards. At the time, the Ravi flowed along the wall of the fort. The Guru’s light rejoined Akal Purakh on 30th May 1606. Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited the site of his father’s torture in 1619 where he had a memorial rostrum built to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Arjan. Later Maharaja Ranjit Singh had a small but beautiful Gurdwara built here.

Nankana Sahib ( Pakistan )

Nankana Sahib is a holy place where the founder of Sikh religion, the dispeller of darkness, the most enlightened global Guru, Guru Nanak Dev ji was born early in the morning to Mata Tripta Ji and Mehta Kalu Ji on 15th April, 1469 (Baisakh sudi 3, Samwat 1526). Bhai Gurdas in his Var (Var 1/27) has equated this event with the sun that lights up the earth after a dark night. According to Janam Sakhis, when Daulta Dai, the maid nurse was offered money, she refused it on the plea that she had already been rewarded by the very glimpse of the holy baby. Guru Nanak gave his first message that he belong to God and would exert the people to worship His Name.
